Empowering the makers of tomorrow, we are delighted to introduce to you ‘Maker Workshops’ this Summer 2018 – week long immersive camps in engineering, coding and robotics.  If you’re looking for amazing STEM Education, this is the place to be! In each camp, kids make something awesome, create their own projects and collaborate with others.

Your child will learn:

Real-World Skills

TCC uses technology as a medium to help kids develop confidence, social skills, change-making abilities and a positive relationship with technology.

Experienced Instructors

Each mentor will ensure they have proper knowledge to deliver results in a fun and safe environment. .We maintain a teacher: student ratio of 1:8

Interpersonal Skills

Your child will meet like-minded friends and learn leadership, communication and social skills.

  • 4 to 6 years
  • 6 to 9 Years
  • SPORTS AND GAMES WITH LEGO ROBOTICS

Coding with Cubetto

In this workshop, students will learn coding fundamentals with Cubetto. Cubetto is a friendly wooden robot, and is programmed to move with wooden blocks. This screen-free method results in a programming language that you can touch!

In this camp students will learn fundamental coding concepts such as event and sequence, to solve simple tasks with various themes such as space and (____), and even play games.

Skills developed in this camp:

  • Importance of Sequencing
  • Fundamentals of coding
  • Logical thinking

STORY-BOOK SCIENCE

This workshop for students combines STEM and language arts through hands-on activities highlighting STEM concepts in popular children’s stories. Children will recreate objects in these stories, while understand the science behind them. For example: the houses built by the three little pigs and a zipline for Peter Pan.

The workshop features scheduled activities for two hours, which will allow children to build, experiment, and innovate using LEGO and other material.

Skills developed in this camp:

  • Scientific method of investigation
  • Translating creativity and imagination into three dimensional objects
  • Problem solving skills
  • Communication skills

HOLIDAY ANIMATION USING SCRATCH

This workshop introduces coding concepts to the young imaginative minds. Scratch is a coding tool developed by the MIT Media LAB where children can learn block -based programming.

Children will start with basic commands including moving forward and turning left/right, and then building their own fun stories and characters through sequences, loops, conditionals. Apart from coding, children will also learn story structures, as they create their own animated movie, taking their favourite characters on a holiday.

Skills Developed in the camp:

  • Coding skills
  • Language development and story creation
